SHEFFIELD RECREATION CENTER - The Sheffield Recreation Center is located at 2901 19th Avenue across from Sheffield High School. It is a multi-purpose facility with emphasis on activities for all ages. The center includes a gymnasium, racquetball court, weight room, sauna, arts and crafts room, game rooms, meeting rooms, kitchen facilities, indoor swimming pool and the main offices of the Parks and Recreation Department. Sheffield High School Basketball Team plays their home games in our 2,000 seat gymnasium. Regular office hours at the Recreation Center are Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

MICHAEL CENTER - The Michael Community Center is located on the corner of Atlanta Avenue and 17th Street. The center includes a large meeting room with kitchen facilities, a small meeting room, playground, lighted tennis court and an outdoor basketball pad. Games such as ping pong, pool, foosball and shuffleboard are also available for use at the center.

Are you looking for a convenient location to hold a Birthday Party, Reunion, Wedding Reception, or Pool Party? The Sheffield Parks and Recreation Department has two facilities available to the public on a rental basis. Rental fees vary depending upon space, equipment and supervision needed. MICHAEL CENTER

Michael Center Hours of Operation - Fall/Winter/Spring Monday - Friday 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. All types of indoor and outdoor supervised activities and games are available to all ages.

The Meeting Room - at the Michael Center can be reserved from 3:30 - 5: 30 p.m. Monday - Friday for Sheffield residents to hold meetings at no charge. A fee will l7e charged to use the facility after normal Business hours and on weekends.

Parks

The public is encouraged to visit the city's parks and playgrounds on a regular basis and enjoy them. Please feel free to call our office to discuss park projects, maintenance or usage problems whenever necessary in or that we might serve you better. Visitors are asked to i proper parking and litter control when using the parks and playgrounds. The parks belong to you so please enjoy and take care of them so that others can enjoy them too.

YORK TERRACE PARK - Practice fields with backstop, picnic and playground area.

10TH AVENUE PARK - Playground equipment and practice field with backstop, basketball pad on dirt surface (no lights).

MUNICIPAL TENNIS COURTS - Six lighted tennis courts. Please observe the rules posted above each gate entrance.

RIVERMONT PARK - 10 acres, practice field, two lighted tennis courts, playground area, fishing area, picnic tables and grills, lighted basketball pad with two goals.

AVALON PARK - This park has two soccer fields, lighted basketball pad, Softball/ baseball practice field, picnic shelter, playground and restroom facilities. A fee of $20.00 for 4 hours or $30.00 for ail day will be charged to reserve the picnic shelter.

RIVERFRONT PARK - "SHEFFIELD UNDER THE BLUFF" - Located at the end of Alabama Avenue, this park includes two fishing piers, one with covered pavilion, picnic shelters with tables and grills, restroom facilities, boat launching facilities, lighted walking trail, the Kiwanis Boundless Playground and a Water Splash Pad. Picnic shelters and splash pad may be reserved by contacting Recreation Center. A fee will be charged to reserve a shelter or the Splash Pad.

Gazebo $30 for 2 hours (Birthday Parties) $75 with Water May Area included	Splash pad $2 for all day/person
RULES: No alcoholic Beverages. Shelters may be reserved between 8:00 am and 10:00 p.m. Common Sense Rules. No refunds for bad weather- rain checks will he issued for another date.
